Nocturnal mobs would quickly get abused...that first hit really hurts if you're sleeping and the agro decides to eat your face... Though I would really love to see even minimal mob AI so they could react to each other, even if it's just being able to set three factions in an area, two that hate each...

Multiplaying
I assure you, no arguments on my part about the new policy.
However, I do have to ask how multiplaying will be detected. Is it based on IP (which is the only way I can think of that it could be)?
In that case, is there a standing policy for multiple people on one network?

Dangerous question
At the risk of horribly offending a lot of people out there, and getting some really dirty looks... Is going above your maximum hit points with various spells (quivering palm, energy drain) a bug? I ask because the code blatantly doesn't like it, as I'm sure anyone who's been healed can attest...whi...

Making the big BIG assumption that psions and mages use power of the same sort, the classical difference between psionics and magics is that magics pull energy to fuel their powers from an outside source, whereas psions find the energy within themselves. Which means, whether it would work in a nomag...

I suppose if we really want a spell that lowers assist rate, we could give evils a cloak of shadows or somesuch...though in my opinion it should be as expensive as sanc and equal duration. Also, it'd have to be pretty restricted in my mind... Probably elf and illithid...if we group drow into elves, ...

EverQuest was the first big who-ha about selling characters. A friend of mine sold an account with a max level cleric with the best gear in the game for about $5k. That came out to be about 16 cents an hour... I digress. Verant made selling against the EULA, and they do periodically check auction si...

Well, I said the ratio would need balancing. Half was more in my mind to help out the youngun's. Then again, they get shield, combat mind, armor, and bless from Clericus, so, I guess they'll live anyway. 1/3rd, 1/4th, something like that. I understand the concept, but I've always hated the idea of h...

Well, granted that skirts are in some cases better than plate. This, in my mind, really is more the fault of the builder rather than the system...the biggest chunks of ac, at least in mortland, are the "affects ac by -X". If the builders put -50 ac on a skirt, that's a bit off in my mind...I much mo...

Yet another AC thread...
I was talking with Leiland a while ago, and we were lamenting the overall not-too-helpfulness of AC. Well, I got to thinking about what AC was exactly, and realized it was armor. No surprise there. The way armor currently functions in the mud is difficulty to hit you. Now then, I'd like anyone to pu...
